Ten New Water Wells Completed in Uganda

Project Updates · 21 July 2026

Each well serves around 400 people daily, cutting the walk for clean water from hours to minutes.

The work described here was carried out by our in-country team alongside partners who live in the communities they serve, which is what allows us to move quickly and keep costs low.

Distribution lists were drawn up with community leaders and cross-checked by our staff, prioritising widow-headed households, orphaned children, elderly people living alone and families with no earning member. Every item handed over is signed for on receipt.

The immediate result is measurable — food in the house, water within walking distance, a roof that holds through the season. The longer-term result is a household that is no longer one bad month away from crisis.

We publish updates like this so donors can follow their giving from the moment it is received to the moment it is handed over. Every figure quoted here is taken from our field reporting and is checked before publication.
