Qibla Direction
Find the direction of the Kaaba in Makkah from your current location, wherever you are in the world.
Set Your Location
We use your device location only to calculate the bearing to Makkah. Nothing is stored or sent to us — the calculation happens in your browser.
Your Qibla Bearing
Share your location or enter a city above and the compass will show the exact direction of the Kaaba, along with the distance from where you are.
On a mobile device you can enable live compass mode. With permission granted, the dial rotates with your phone's orientation sensor so the marker points to the Qibla physically around you.
How To Use It
01
Share your location
Tap “Use My Current Location” and allow location access, or type your city in the box instead.
02
Hold the device flat
If you enable live compass mode on a phone, hold it flat and level, away from metal and magnets.
03
Follow the marker
Turn until you face the green Qibla marker. That direction is the Kaaba in Makkah.
What Is the Qibla?
The Qibla is the direction of the Kaaba in Masjid al-Haram, Makkah, which Muslims face during the five daily prayers. Facing it unites worshippers everywhere in a single orientation, turning millions of separate prayers into one shared act of worship. Knowing the Qibla matters most when you are travelling, praying in an unfamiliar place, or setting up a prayer space at home or work.
Please note: this tool gives a close approximation calculated from your location. Phone sensors and location accuracy vary, so if you need precise alignment, check against your local mosque's prayer direction or a physical compass.
