Eid Gifts for Orphans

Every child should have something to look forward to on Eid morning. For orphaned children, that usually depends on someone else remembering them.

Why It Matters

Eid is a communal celebration, which makes exclusion from it deeply visible. Children without a provider watch others in new clothes and know exactly why they are not.

Households caring for orphaned relatives are usually already stretched — a grandmother or widowed aunt supporting several children on no reliable income.

A small, planned gift removes that gap entirely, and costs less than most families in the UK spend on a single Eid outfit.

Our Response

Each child receives new clothes in their size, a toy or school gift chosen for their age, and a place at a communal Eid meal held in their community.

Packages are prepared with the guardians so children receive them on Eid morning at home, rather than queuing at a distribution point.

“I and the one who cares for an orphan will be together in Paradise like this.”
