Qurbani in Pakistan

In flood-hit districts of Sindh and Balochistan, Qurbani meat is the only protein many families will eat all year.

Where Your Qurbani Goes

We work in rural districts where households live on wheat, rice and vegetables, and where meat appears at most once or twice a year.

Successive floods have wiped out livestock across these areas, removing both a food source and a family's main store of savings.

Qurbani lands in this gap — a substantial delivery of fresh meat, at the same time, to communities where nobody can afford it.

How We Deliver It

Animals are bought locally from smallholder farmers, inspected by a vet for age and health, and slaughtered under supervision according to Shariah on the days of Eid.

Meat is packed fresh and distributed the same day to widows, orphan households, elderly people living alone and families displaced by flooding.

“Eat of them and feed the needy and the beggar.”

Qur'an, Surah Al-Hajj 22:36
