Qurbani in The Gambia

In The Gambia, our Qurbani distribution lists are drawn up by local imams — the people who know exactly which households have nothing.

Where Your Qurbani Goes

The Gambia is among the world's least developed countries, with most rural households dependent on a single rain-fed harvest each year.

Between harvests, families eat less and eat worse. Protein is largely absent from children's diets for months at a time.

Eid al-Adha is one of the few moments when that changes — and only where Qurbani is funded from outside the community.

How We Deliver It

Animals are sourced from Gambian farmers, checked for age and health, and slaughtered under Shariah supervision across the three days of Eid.

Local imams and community committees identify recipient households, and our staff verify the lists before distribution to prevent duplication.

“It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah, but it is your piety that reaches Him.”

Qur'an, Surah Al-Hajj 22:37

Give Your Qurbani in The Gambia

Orders close on the evening before Eid al-Adha. Every donor receives a distribution summary afterwards.
