Why It Matters

Food prices climb sharply in the weeks before Ramadan, pushing flour, rice, oil and dates out of reach for the families who need them most.

A household that spends the month buying food day to day pays more and eats less. A single delivery at the start of Ramadan removes that pressure entirely.

For elderly people living alone and families with no cooking facilities, a pack is not enough — they need cooked food brought to them.

Our Response

We deliver family food packs — flour, rice, lentils, oil, sugar, tea and dates — in the opening days of Ramadan so the whole month is covered in one delivery.

Alongside packs, we run community feeding programmes that cook and serve daily for those unable to prepare food themselves, and deliver to housebound elderly and disabled residents.

“Whoever gives iftar to a fasting person will have a reward like his, without any reduction in the fasting person's reward.”
