Emergency Food Assistance

Families who have lost their home, their crops or their income are skipping meals tonight. An emergency food parcel bridges the weeks until they can provide again.

What's Happening

Disasters destroy food before they destroy anything else — standing crops, stored grain, market stalls and the roads that supply them all go at once.

Families who escaped with their lives took nothing else. Mothers dilute what little food they have to make it stretch, and malnutrition climbs fastest among children under five.

The most urgent need is simple: dry staples that need no cooking, and hot meals for those with no means to cook at all.

Our Response

Our field teams and local partners distribute within days of an emergency, delivering staple food parcels directly to families sheltering outside the worst-hit villages.

Where families have no cooking facilities, we run community kitchens serving hot meals daily. Every distribution is logged and verified by our team on the ground.

Give to Emergency Food Assistance

A family food parcel costs £40 in The Gambia and £50 in Pakistan. Funds are directed to wherever the need is greatest at the time of giving.
