Urgent Medical Cases

What's Happening

Across the countries we work in, a hospital will not begin treatment until the cost is paid up front. Families sell land, livestock or take on unpayable debt — or they go home untreated.

The cases we see most often are not exotic: infections needing a course of medication, cataract surgery, hernia repairs, fracture fixation, emergency caesareans. Each is routine, affordable, and life-changing when funded in time.

The barrier is never medical capability. It is a bill of between twenty and a few hundred pounds that the family simply does not have.

Our Response

Cases are referred to us by partner clinics and community leaders, then verified by our field team — medical need, cost quotation and the family's financial situation are all checked before a case is approved.

We pay the hospital or pharmacy directly rather than the family, fund follow-up appointments and medication, and record the outcome of every case so donors can see exactly what their money achieved.

“Whoever saves one life, it is as if he had saved all of mankind.”

Qur'an, Surah Al-Ma'idah 5:32

Fund a Medical Case

Pakistan cases run from £20 for medication to £450 for an operation. In The Gambia, ongoing care is costed at £50 per person per month. Where a case is fully funded, your gift moves to the next verified patient on the list.
